About Defne

A graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) with an Industrial Design BFA with minors in Furniture Design and Accessory Design, Defne defines herself as a multidisciplinary designer. She has a wide range of skills through her extensive experience designing products and packaging solutions for a variety of sectors.

She started her career as a Junior Designer at Summer Classics designing outdoor furniture and soft goods, and later moved onto Hilco Vision as a Designer where she was able to create designs for a range of brands under the Hilco umbrella such as Croakies, eyecessories and OnGuard, among many more.

Over the years, she also had the opportunity to work directly with key customers such as Walmart, Loblaws and NVI, which eventually led to her role becoming “Key Account Program Manager, Designer” where on top of her design responsibilities, she managed key account programs, facilitated communications between the stakeholders, and ensured the profitability of the programs.

When Defne is not working or deeply pondering on design solutions, she can be found spending her time with her partner and her 4 cats. She can also be found taking her bike on trails on sunny days, enjoying a hot yoga class and fiddling with her violin.
