SCAD collaborated with Hymer to research and develop concepts for an innovative mobile home package focused on future customers. The deliverable was to design a new concept for their Eriba Touring caravan to be available to the US market.
Designed with a vintage aesthetic in mind, California Dreaming is a redesign of the iconic Eriba Touring caravan to be introduced to the United States.
California Dreaming creates an harmony between the interior and the exterior to relax, escape and enjoy nature, by incorporating 360 windows, solar panels and an adjustable outdoor kitchen.
Renovating the Classic Eriba Touring
Eriba Touring is a European caravan that has been around since the 1950s, without much change made to the exterior design. Hymer approached us to conduct research and design a new concept to be released into the US market, while still keeping the key Eriba Touring characteristics such as dimensions of the van.
